2024 Schedule
This year we are using Will Rogers State Beach again, as well as Harbor Cove Beach in Ventura. All court numbers are located on the poles of each court at both locations. We will be using 18 of the 21 courts at Will Rogers for each tournament throughout the entire day, and 9 courts at Ventura Harbor.
The Marmonte Beach League headquarters on the beach at Will Rogers will be at the tables under the TO Beach easy-up tents next to court 4. Please return all duel match score sheets to the appropriate file folders (green for Varsity & Orange for JV) after each duel match (all three matches in your row). Any questions, ask the league director (Seth Burnham), assistant director (Steve Barrus), equipment manager (Noah Nailor), or the JV score collector (Jayden Escover).

Oct. 12 - MB Elite (Varsity) Tourney #2
(at Harbor Cove Beach, Ventura)
Sites -
Will Rogers State Beach - enter the park lot at Temescal Canyon Rd. from PCH. Go south until the park lot comes to a dead end and park there. The 21 volleyball courts are south of the lot (North from State Beach Santa Monica)

The lowest numbered court (closest to PCH) for each duel match will still be for the #1 pairs, and the highest number (closest to the ocean) for the #3 pairs.
Harbor Cove Beach, Ventura - You will enter the Harbor at the E. Harbor Blvd. & Olivas Park Dr. intersection. Travel all the way towards the end of Spinnaker Dr. until you see the parking lot on your left in front of the 9 volleyball courts. Parking there is free in the lot and on the street but may fill quickly. The Harbor also has some restaurants and food options fairly close to the courts. It is a very nice location.
Reffing & Score Keeping Info
ATTENTION!!!!!!! Players & coaches, once again, we have a huge problem with players not doing their job in completely filling out and submitting the SCORE SHEETS accurately. Obviously, not having the results for matches makes it impossible to be able to keep accurate league standings. Therefore, from tournament #3 forward, IF SCORE SHEETS ARE NOT FILLED OUT CORRECTLY, ALL INVOVLED TEAMS WILL TAKE A LOSS.
The scores sheet is extremely easy to figure out, but if you are still having trouble, continue to read here and see the samples.
For score sheet submitting, the Varsity folder is green, the JV is orange, and both are labeled appropriately.
Each court has a court score sheet on a clipboard, that stays on that court all day. Please make sure to fill the scores into this sheet after every set.
The match SCORE SHEET for the dual matches (all three individual matches) requires ALL of the blank spaces to be filled in accurately. These should also be filled out even when teams are forfeiting (and make sure it is clearly stated who is forfeiting). See below (& to your right) for sample score sheets.
Tournament #5 (Saturday 9/21)

Coaches, this is the last week to lock in your line-ups for the playoffs. This means that players will need to be listed in the appropriate teams, if you have moved some from one to the other, or between varsity and JV. Filling can still take place in Tourney #5, but not in the playoffs.
This week, rounds 1 for both varsity and JV will be only the Bronze division. Round 8 for the varsity and 7 for the JV will be only the Silver division. Round 9 for varsity and round 8 for JV will be only the Gold division.
Coaches, please help to ensure that your program is submitting accurate score sheets for EVERY MATCH, and pay close attention to when and where you play and ref. Last week was better, but we need to continue.
Coaches, please make sure to communicate any time you are missing pairs.
9/28/24 - League Championship Tournament
All teams will play at Will Rogers State Beach
The Championship Tournament will have a different format this year, due to the three different divisions and large number of teams that we have. Therefore, teams will be placed into the Division 1 or Division 2 playoff brackets, based on a power ranking system (see the results page for details and rankings).
The league photo will take place between the 2nd and 3rd rounds of play. All players and coaches, please be there! Ryan Capture will be on site to take the photo and other action shots. If you are interested in getting actions shots, stay tuned for more information.
10/5/24 - JV Pairs Championship
at Will Rogers State Beach
24 JV Pairs max. Format will be like the pre-season pairs tournament, with pool play and playoffs (format may be changed due to number of entries).
We are aware that their is an indoor club tournament for the 18's & 17's divisions that same day, which should not effect the majority of the JV players.
Deadline to sign up your pairs for the event is Wednesday 10/2/24 at noon. Coaches submit your pairs via email.
